More on new school chairs

The idea itself was born at a meeting with parents of disabled children. The discussion was about challenges that these children encounter at school every day. If truth be told, they still find it difficult to move around in some places. Although most schools that accept physically challenged students have already installed lifts and specially designed doors in their buildings, there is still a lot to do. Let"s take classroom furniture as an example. Standard school chairs are not suitable for most disabled children. These chairs lack arm support and adjustable legs. This is the main reason why disabled children should not use them. At the meeting, the problem was raised and discussed both by parents and specialists. After the meeting, our representative contacted an expert on furniture design and asked the person to design a special chair for physically challenged children. At the moment, new school chairs are being introduced in our school. They have armrests with regulated height and width, a comfortable back, adjustable leg heights and special support for feet. However, they also have seatbelts that help the children stay in the right position. Needless to say, the kids really like the idea of new chairs.
