Build an earthship out of old tyres
This idea is not good for everyone. You must have a garden; this is the most important thing. And you should have kids, unless you would like to build a small earthship just for yourself. What"s an earthship, in the first place? Well, it"s a kind of house built of locally available materials and waste. Soil, stones and old tyres are popular materials for construction. What are same advantages of living in an earthship? Well, it"s extremely cheap. You don"t have to pay central heating bills because rubber mixed with soil keeps the heat inside the house. So it"s a kind of passive house that does not require much attention. The idea is that the inhabitants can build the house themselves and then all they have to do is to keep it in a good condition. Of course, you can also build a small earthship in the garden first, which is what I"m encouraging you to do now. Collect materials that can be found in your area: bottles, sand, old tyres... use your imagination. You don"t need any particular skills to build such a house. Let your children help you and let them learn a lot in this process. An earthship does not have to look ugly or boring at all. Use your own ideas to decorate it and have fun while making a new little home in your garden.
